In light of recent world events that have occurred I think it's important to say that I stand in solidarity with all that object to racism, violence and bigotry. I hope this album brings a little bit of light during these difficult times and I hope we can all move to a more peaceful, loving and unified world.

I went back to England over the winter holiday and took a little break from producing the album. While there I had some time to put the finishing touches on the artwork.
I’m now back in Japan and working hard to mix and master all of the ten songs. This includes new mixes of the three songs that were featured on DR-01 and also a single from the album, which I will reveal information about soon!
2020 is going to be a big year for Diff Rokka with the release of the album and preparations going ahead for the first live shows.

The last 3 months have been really productive for the album. I've finished all the recordings and am now in the grueling editing stage. Editing and processing the audio is probably the most time consuming task, choosing the best recording takes, getting everything lined up, adding effects etc. Since Diff Rokka is a very processed sound, it's a crucial stage for each song. I'm making slow progress, but past the halfway mark, not long to go.
I can now reveal some early information about the album. The album will comprise of 10 songs. 3 of the songs I have already released on the DR-01 sampler. So look forward to hearing 7 brand new songs!
At the moment, I'm planning the release of the album for early 2020. However, I will release 1 single from the album prior to that! More information coming soon!
Making steady progress with the new album and recently finished recording all the guitar parts. Used my trusty Strat for all the songs and ran it through my recently acquired Bias FX 2 amp modelling and effects software. I was using Line 6 Pod Farm before this, but being outdated software, it was incompatible with the new computer, so I switched to Bias. Very happy with the tones I've been getting in this little program!
Just about finished with vocals too, so next we're onto the grueling editing stage.
It's been over a year since I released the 3 track Diff Rokka DR-01 sampler. Time is flying by, and I'm still not finished with the album. As is usually the case, It's taking longer than I expected, but I've recently streamlined the home studio with some new gear and I've been able to get back to recording over the summer. Things are starting to come together now and I'm aiming to get all the recording finished by the end of the year. The three tracks from the sampler will be featured on the album, so that should give you a little indication of what to expect for the rest of the songs. The DR-01 Sampler is still available for free download via the bandcamp.
Back in 2013, the song ‘Suffocate’ was released by Sprinter (Diff Rokka’s Drum & Bass side project) on the UK Drum & Bass label Offworld Recordings.
